Among the advantages of choosing a resin coating, one of the most important is its low thickness, which makes it possible to renovate surfaces without having to demolish the existing substrate, cutting demolition and disposal costs and, at the same time, speeding up application times; they also have high mechanical and chemical resistance, are easy to clean and can be pigmented in all possible colours and customised ad infinitum.
Following an appropriate inspection and depending on the intended use of the resin floor covering, our technicians will recommend a resin suitable for the individual case; new technologies have made it possible to formulate products that are resistant even in areas subject to foot traffic, such as corridors and entrances.
All our products are water-based or 100% solid and therefore solvent-free. This allows you to apply the products indoors without incurring unpleasant odours both when applying the product and afterwards, when the work is finished.
Usually a resin coating is completed in 3-5 days depending on the type of use and cycle required. From the time the work is completed it is necessary to wait at least 3 days for the product to fully cure, as it must stabilise completely to reach its maximum performance. In any case, it is advisable to scrupulously follow the instructions of the installer.
Resin, due to its elastic characteristic, guarantees its performance also on a heated surface. The general rule of good installation of radiant floor elements suggests to embed the radiant elements and their pipes at least 4 cm into the screed. Furthermore, by virtue of its very low thickness it maintains a good thermal conductivity, making it the ideal material for underfloor heating.
Resin is very easy to clean using neutral, detergent and non-abrasive products.
Resin floors, being without joints, in fact prevent the accumulation of dirt.
Resin products can also be used in kitchens to cover, among other things, hobs, tables or cutting boards. The chemical inertia of the resin guarantees the integrity of the food, as well as high mechanical resistance to impact and scratching. Pava Resine products are suitable for use on surfaces where foodstuffs are present and where resistance to both washing and bacteriostatic activity is required, in accordance with the HACCP hygiene self-control system.
Some types of resin, above all due to their waterproof characteristics, are perfectly suited for use in environments where there is constant contact with water over time, such as shower stalls, bathtubs and swimming pools.
It is advisable to use professional layers who have acquired the necessary qualifications and skills. In this regard, Pava Resine organises theoretical and application training courses, suitable and aimed at the correct laying of resin floor coverings.
